The Journey

Every chapter led me here.

Not a résumé — a story. Seven chapters, from carrying luggage to building Roamie.

Chapter 01Learning Hospitality2009

Bellboy

Bellboy

My first job wasn't in an office.

It was carrying luggage.

I worked as a bellboy in a hotel.

Back then, I thought I was simply earning money.

Looking back, I realize I was unknowingly falling in love with hospitality.

Every suitcase carried a different story.

Every guest came from a different country.

Without realizing it…

This was the very first chapter of Roamie.

What I Learned

Hospitality isn't about hotels.

It's about making people feel welcome.

Chapter 02Creating Experiences2011

Let It Roll

Let It Roll

My first business wasn't a startup.

It wasn't venture-backed.

It wasn't even a tech company.

While I was in college, I started Let It Roll.

We rented buses and organized trips to electronic music festivals.

I sold tickets around campus, filled the buses and made sure everyone made it back home.

Looking back…

I wasn't selling transportation.

I was creating experiences.

I just didn't know it yet.

What I Learned

People don't buy transportation.

They buy memories.

Chapter 03Learning to Build2013–2024

Marketing

Marketing

Marketing became my playground.

For more than a decade I helped companies grow.

Hospitality. Fashion. Restaurants. Travel. Startups.

Every project taught me something different about people.

Without realizing it…

I wasn't only learning marketing.

I was learning how businesses are built.

What I Learned

Marketing isn't about selling.

It's about understanding people.

Chapter 04Falling in Love with Travel

Travel

Travel

Travel slowly stopped being a vacation.

It became an obsession.

Living abroad. Hostels. Airports. Backpacks.

New cities. New cultures.

Most people say travel changes your perspective.

I think it changes something much bigger.

It changes who you become.

That's when I realized something.

My favorite memories never came from places.

They came from people.

What I Learned

Places are beautiful.

People are unforgettable.

Chapter 05Finding the Problem

The Question

The Question

Every time I traveled, one question kept coming back.

Why is it still so difficult to meet people while traveling?

We can order food. Book flights. Call an Uber. Translate languages instantly.

But somehow…

Meeting another human being still feels random.

That question stayed in my head for years.

Eventually…

It became Roamie.

What I Learned

The best companies usually begin with a question you can't stop thinking about.

Chapter 06Building Roamie

Roamie

Roamie

For the first time in my life…

Everything finally made sense.

Hospitality. Marketing. Travel. Technology. Community.

Every chapter suddenly connected.

I'm not building another travel app.

I'm building something I wish had existed every time I traveled alone.

The journey has just begun.

What I Learned

Everything you learn eventually connects.

Even if it doesn't make sense at the time.

Chapter 07Still Writing...

The Beginning

The Beginning

The story isn't finished.

Actually…

It feels like it's only just beginning.

I have no idea what the next chapter will look like.

Maybe we'll launch in dozens of cities.

Maybe we'll completely reinvent the product.

Maybe we'll fail.

Maybe we'll build something much bigger than I can imagine today.

I honestly don't know.

But I do know one thing.

I'll keep building.

I'll keep learning.

I'll keep traveling.

And I'll keep sharing every step of the journey.

Because the best stories are never planned.

They're lived.

What I Learned

The future isn't something you predict.

It's something you build.
